BMW Motorrad 2018 comes to Oaxaca

From October 18 to 21, around 600 motorcyclists from 21 clubs in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Central America will enjoy the cultural, gastronomic and natural wealth of Oaxaca City and surrounding areas, such as the magical town of Capulálpam de Méndez, Hierve el Agua and Benito Juárez, during the XXI International Convention “Oaxaca BMW Motorrad 2018”.

Over four days, the participants, besides visiting these places, will know places of interest in the city such as the archaeological zone of Monte Albán and its historic center, as well as an exhibition of handicrafts.

Oaxacans and visitors have open participation to enjoy an exhibition of motorcycles that will be placed on the tourist walk on Friday, October 19 at 6 pm, they will depart from Santo Domingo to the Plaza de la Danza where a Guelaguetza will be presented.

In the announcement of this event, the Director of Tourism, Miriam Corro Niño de Rivera celebrated that on this occasion the BMW Motorrad will be held in the Oaxacan capital, whose participants will be able to enjoy the beauties of the city in tours of places of interest and of surrounding municipalities as to the interior of the state.

“We hope it’s not the only time they visit us, but to return with more friends and family to enjoy our land.” With their visit, the municipal official said, they strengthen an important sector of our city’s economy and contribute to the security and shelter of many families that depend on tourism.

President of the Board of Directors of the BMW Motorrad Guelaguetza, Javier Pérez Chavarria, expressed his approval for the realization of this event in which in addition to hosting its national assembly, motorcyclists from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Argentina and even Europeans will become ambassadors of Oaxaca as a tourist destination, while generating an economic income during their stay of nearly three million pesos.
