Activities at the Instituto Municipal de la Mujer

With the purpose of providing a better service to the women of the capital, Instituto Municipal de la Mujer (IMM) invites you to participate in the scheduled activities from May 11 to June 1, 2018.

The activities are designed to raise awareness among the participants about the importance of generating a culture of gender equity; make them aware of their rights and raise awareness about family, labor, school and gender violence.

These activities include talks, workshops, round tables and presentations, such as the round table “Challenges of modern motherhood” to be held on Wednesday, May 16, at 11:00 am; as well as the round table “Prevention of pregnancy in adolescents”, which will take place on Monday May 28 at 11:00 am.

Both activities will take place at Casa de la Ciudad, located at 115, Porfirio Diaz Street, in the center of the city.

On Friday, May 18 and 25, the “Festival for the health of mothers” will be held, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the offices of the IMM, located on Boulevard Manuel Ruiz #111, in the Colonia Reforma.

Also, at the same place there will be the talk ‘How to promote equality between women and men from home’, which will take place on Saturday May 19 at 10:00 am.

On Monday, May 21, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, the workshop “Violence in relationships between couples” will be held in collaboration with the URSE, which will be held in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Law, campus “El Rosario”.

The activities will conclude with the presentation “Women: rights and tastes” to be held on May 30 at 11:00 am, and with the presentation of videos from the series “Flesh and blood warriors” on Friday, June 1 at 11:00 am, in the Hall of the Municipal Palace.
