The secretary of government, Alfonso Navarrete Prida, reported that the protocols of the National System of Civil Protection were activated by the earthquake this afternoon northwest of Arriaga, Chiapas.
Before the earthquake registered by the National Seismological Service with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7, Navarrete Prida exhorted to follow the indications of the National System of Civil Protection.

The earthquakes rattled Chiapas, Tabasco, and Oaxaca, along with some reports in south Mexico City.
